Heather and Valentin had a beautiful Disneyland Hotel Wedding in October. Their ceremony was at the Rose Court Garden of the Disneyland Hotel, with their Wedding Reception at the Trillium Room of the Grand Californian. I first met Heather and Valentin during their rainy day engagement session at Disneyland. Heather was so nervous about the photos because of the rain! Everything turned out beautiful though, and we laughed and smiled throughout the entire morning.
Valentin and Heather met through work, where Valentin is a sous chef and Heather works as a pastry chef. Together, they made the perfect pairing. They had their first date at the movie theaters to see Frozen, and from that point forward, Disney has always been a special part of their relationship. After running the 10k Disney Marathon on Heather’s birthday, Valentin proposed. He brought Heather to the side of the castle by the Princess Fantasy Faire Theater and got down on one knee, and with tears in her eyes, Heather said yes! Heather loves how Valentin takes care of her, makes her laugh, cooks for her, and of course that he loves Disney. Valentin loves that family is so important to Heather. He loves that Heather is kind and always keeps him active, and that she is always determined to accomplish anything. And of course, he loves that she takes him to Disney!
The thing that I love most about Heather and Valentin, is how much they take care of each other. From the engagement session to the wedding day, they were always making sure their other half was having the very best day. Their wedding actually had me crying big tears during their reception. Heather’s father recently passed away, and Valentin surprised her with a slideshow tribute to her father. During the slideshow, Valentin wore a t-shirt with her father’s picture and asked if she would have a father/daughter dance with him in her father’s honor. It was such a thoughtful and beautiful way to honor her father’s memory, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. I was so honored to be there, taking photos for such a special couple. I know they are going to have a wonderful life together.
