When I first photographed Ben and Mandy, it was on a freezing cold day in Pasadena for their engagement, and was a huge contrast to their warm and summery Disneyland Hotel Wedding. During the session, we made a special stop at the home where they filmed the Father of the Bride. It was a special movie for Mandy and her close knit family, and she wanted to surprise her family with a photo of the home where they filmed their family’s favorite movie.
Hearing how much they loved this movie, made me smile when I finally was able to meet Mandy’s father on her wedding day. He was such a sweet person, and I knew it was special for him to see his daughter getting married to Ben. Mandy even had a first look with her father so he could see her in her wedding dress. It was so sweet to listen to the toast her father and twin sister gave about their history and relationship together. One of the things I love about weddings, is seeing families and how much they care about each other. Their family definitely fit the bill, and photographing them interact and hearing their speeches made for a special day.
I loved the bright and summery colors of her bridesmaid dresses.
And her hot pink weddings shoes gave her attire and extra pop of color, and don’t you just love that Disneyland Hotel pillow? <3
Their Disneyland Fast Pass Seating Cards were a cute touch.
And this had to have been one of the coolest Disney Inspired Wedding Cake that I’ve ever seen.
Congratulations to you both again! I know your love story is just beginning, and I can’t wait to see it unfold. 🙂
