Sarah and Anthony met when they both just moved to California and were working for the same company. Even though they worked together, they didn’t know each other until they both happened to attend an HR brunch. Who knew that a brunch for HR would turn into Sunday Funday, and eventually end on the sands of Huntington Beach? It was then that Anthony and Sarah both realized they had found their soulmate.
One of the things I loved about Sarah and Anthony’s wedding day, was that their first look happened at Sleeping Beauty’s Castle! It was such a unique and magical way to begin their wedding day! It really made their portrait session a lot of fun. They were so happy and excited to begin their day.
After the first look, we had hour long portrait session that had been carefully coordinated and arranged by their Disney Wedding Planner, Hanna. There’s nothing that compares to being in the park before it opens. One of my favorite things, is how the lighting changes as the sun comes up. It always makes for the prettiest photos.
I just loved Sarah’s dress! The skirt was really beautiful and I loved having her swing it around for photos, the movement was really fun to capture.
Sarah and Anthony described their life together as always having music, laughter, and lots of love in our home and everywhere we go. Their first date was dinner at the Original Fish Company in Los Alamitos, CA, which lead to an adventure at Trader Sam’s and then an evening at the Hearthstone Lounge in Downtown Disney.
After their portrait session, we went back to prepare for their early morning ceremony at the Rose Court Garden of the Disneyland Hotel.
Together, they love exploring new places in matching outfits. They love listening to speakeasy music while sipping scotch and smoking cigars, and they love visiting Disneyland as much as they can! They’re excited to be married and have endless adventures for all of their forevers!
When Anthony proposed, he surprised Sarah on a chilly Wednesday evening after a long day of work with an impromptu trip 1.5 hours south of their home to watch the sunset. He wrapped his jacket around Sarah as they were sitting along the coast of Puget Sound. Sarah looked at Anthony and said, “You’re just full of surprises aren’t you?” He replied back to her, “I have one more surprise for you. Look inside the left pocket of my jacket.” She reached in and pulled out the ring as he got down on his knee and proposed.
During the planning process, Sarah learned that Anthony was very sentimental. Anthony learned wedding planning with Sarah was easy – and realized that everything else in life would be a breeze as long as she was by his side!
They shared that a perfect day together would include laying in a cabana on the beach with matching straw hats, sunglasses, and Hawaiian shirts as they sip on cocktails out of pineapples with colorful umbrellas while listening to tropical house music.
