Ack! Things have been busy over here, and usually when things get busy-my blog quiets down for a bit, but I’m making an effort to keep blogging because there is so much to share! Today, I’m posting Chris and Courtney’s beautiful Disneyland Hotel Rose Court Garden Wedding. Their ceremony was in the Rose Court Garden, and their reception was at the Sleeping Beauty Pavilion. The morning after their wedding day, we woke up like giddy kids who were going to Disneyland, and went back to Disneyland Park for a morning castle portrait session. I have to laugh a bit about that morning. There were so many things going on in the park because they were preparing for the 60th and it made the whole experience a bit of an adventure. Usually the park is quiet with nothing but the Main Street music playing in the background, but on this day the park was busy, busy, busy! It’s always fun getting to see some of the work that goes into making magic, so we didn’t mind a bit. Besides, we had photos to take!
Back to the wedding day, though! I loved getting to know Courtney and Chris during the planning process, and it was a treat getting to see everything they worked on come to life! Courtney and Chris met through Match.com, and quickly discovered they were perfect for each other. They have a mutual love for Disney, a fun sense of humor, and are both incredibly thoughtful and kind. Courtney is an avid runner and works at the Walt Disney Family Museum, and Chris served in the Navy and now works on an oil rig off the Gulf Coast near Louisiana. It’s hard for them to be apart, but makes it all the more special when they are together.
Courtney and Chris were married with their Grandmother’s Bible. It was such a sweet touch to their day. As a side note, it reminded me of my own Mamaw’s Bible, I used to love to go through the pages of her old Bible and read the notes she had written. I loved how many tributes they had for the important people in their lives, it made the whole day very special.
I loved that Chris and Courtney also wanted to include photos of their grandparents in their portraits, so that they were a part of their wedding day.
Courtney had the beautiful Alfred Angelo-Aurora Dress, and I knew the perfect place to hang it. 🙂 Another special touch, was that Courtney had customized purses hand made for the wedding party from her mother and grandmother’s wedding dress. Courtney’s has a little touch of Disney, can you see it?
Chris and his friends prepared in their hotel room at the Disneyland Hotel.
The girls prepared near the Sleeping Beauty Pavilion.
Courtney had the sweetest wedding party.
We had a great time taking photos, and Chris was so excited to surprise Courtney with his Donald cufflinks!
After the portraits, Chris and Courtney had a blind first prayer. We blindfolded Chris and took him to Courtney, it was such a sweet moment.
The Ceremony looked beautiful!
It was so sweet when Chris saw Courtney for the first time.
I love that they included the Fairytale wine in their wine box ceremony. 🙂
After the ceremony, we took more portraits! The lighting was beautiful.
And then we went to the Sleeping Beauty Pavilion for the reception.
I loved their cake!
The reception went fast, everyone was having a great time!
During the reception, they had a root beer float bar! It was a sweet and tasty surprise!
The next morning, we went bright and early to the park for Chris and Courtney’s Sleeping Beauty’s Castle photo session. *sigh* I live for these mornings.
They were both so happy, it didn’t matter that there was so much hustle and bustle in the park that morning, all they cared about was each other. They were smitten!
I love this walkway to Snow White’s Wishing Well, so beautiful over here.
And we had to feature Courtney’s beautiful shoes!
And here’s my favorite photo, Chris and Courtney were walking through the Castle, and Chris stopped to give Courtney a kiss. It was so beautiful, so I asked them to do it again! They were more than happy to! 😉
Thanks for having me, Courtney and Chris! It’s been such an honor getting to know you and document your wedding day! Your adventure together is just beginning, and it’s going to be wonderful. 🙂

What a beautiful wedding!!! I LOVE the cake and the shot at SB castle!
Thank you, Summer! 😀
So many neat things to comment on!! I loved their tributes to their loves ones (their portraits as they were getting ready, the old bibles and the fact that she used old wedding dress material for her purse.) That is so cool! I also thought their blind prayer meeting was a cool new twist on the first look. It seemed like such a special moment for them so it’s great that they got to sneak that in. I also think their root bear float station was such a wonderful surprise. I just love all the new ideas coming out lately. It looks like they had a fun wedding too. Congrats to the happy couple and maybe I’ll see her one day when we finally make it to the WDFM and tell her that I loved her wedding pics. 🙂
LOVE the simple yellow roses in memory…
