When Matthew and Elissa described their World of Color wedding to me, I couldn’t wait for their wedding day so I could capture the event as it played out! Elissa and Matthew gave their guests a night to remember, beginning with a bridal brunch party and ending with a surprise exclusive viewing of the World of Color at Disney California Adventure theme park. It was amazing for Louise and I to have been able to photograph the day, and I’m so glad to have been a part of it!
The morning began with a bridal brunch party. It really was the cutest, especially with the decorations that Elissa’s mother had added to the suite! The decorations included everything from fairytale books to candy gift bags and confetti, all in pink of course! It definitely was a fun way to start a wedding day.
I’m a firm believer that if there’s confetti around, confetti photos must be taken!
The suite was the perfect size for a bridal party, and had a beautiful view of the resort. The clouds were so pretty!
Here are Elissa and her bridesmaid’s with their pink champagne glasses! What a view, we just had to capture a birds eye photo of the Rose Court Garden, pre wedding decorations! Isn’t it gorgeous?
Once the bridal brunch was complete and it was time to get ready, we made our way to the Rose Court Garden to meet the vis-a-vis carriage.
And after photos of the bridal party, we snapped a few photos of Matthew and his groomsmen!
The Rose Court Garden looked so pretty with the pink floral from Disney Floral and Decor!
A harpist played as the guests entered the Rose Court Garden, and guests were presented with fans to help keep cool in the California sunshine.
Elissa’s brother performed the ceremony, and then it was time for photos before heading off to the Sleeping Beauty Pavilion for their wedding reception!
The reception setup at the Sleeping Beauty Pavilion was perfect, the windows that surround the room add so much to this beautiful location. I especially loved seeing Lumiere from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast make an appearance at the head table.
The guests were gifted with specialty teas by Disney to remember the day, monogramed cigars, and sandals to keep their feet happy during the reception.
And they even had two very special guests make an appearance to help cut the cake!
After the cake cutting, a special giveaway dessert bar was presented to the guests, with all of Elissa and Matt’s favorite Disney Dessert Treats! The guests were given take away bags for their desserts, because they were about to embark on a special adventure. 😉
Once the wedding reception was complete, the DJ made an announcement that there was one more surprise ahead. Guests were escorted to an empty Disney’s California Adventure Park, where they were treated to a private viewing of World of Color.
We took a few quick photos of Elissa and Matthew, before sitting back to enjoy the show with their guests. There were so many moments during the show, where Louise and I pinched ourselves. What a night. 🙂
Thanks for having us, Elissa and Matthew. The love you both have for your family and friends was so beautiful to photograph. What a great night you gave to them, and what a wonderful way to begin your lives together.

Oh how lovely! Also what a treat for all the guests to not only get all those yummy take away treats but to also get a private WOC show! I have yet to get a good glimpse of that show (with fast passes/without fast passes) so I’ve given up on it altogether. lol I’m sure it was a night their guests will never forget. I love the night shots you took with the show lights on! Also, yay for another Flawless Faces bride! 😀
The take away treats were so neat, and it was so hard to photograph that table before they disappeared, haha. World of Color was amazing, I’m glad you liked the photos! We wanted to get a few but we also wanted them to enjoy the moment, so we only had a few moments, but it’s so important to keep that balance as a photographer! 🙂
