A Fantasy Faire Table Scape

When I was asked to come on board to photograph a tablescape in Disneyland’s Fantasy Faire Theater, I was thrilled — the location has to be one of my favorite areas in the park. When it switched from Carnation Plaza to the Fantasy Faire I was nervous, but I should have known something really special was about to take place. I just feel like the whole area is so romantic and charming. It’s one of my favorite spots for engagement photos, and when I’m not “working” I love taking my son and sweet little niece to meet the princesses when we visit the park. There are so many things about it that I love, from spotting Figaro perched on a windowsill to the Flynn Ryder wanted posters you can find here and there, but my favorite spot is the center landmark with its gorgeous hand crafted tower that draws its inspiration from the movie Tangled. It’s the nicest little place to sit for a few minutes and really take in how much time and effort must have gone into crafting this beautiful area.

For the shoot, Louise and I arrived right when the sun was beginning to rise. Even though it was early, we’re always excited when we get to be in the park before it opens! For one thing, I can use it as an excuse to drink an extra cup of coffee or two~heehee 🙂 – but also, everything feels so calm, quiet, and fresh in the morning. It’s a feeling you really can’t describe, seeing the park empty before all the guests arrive.

We were literally in awe when we first caught a glimpse of the table that Disney Floral and Decor was designing. The colors were so bright and rich, and nothing like I had expected. For color inspiration, they pulled in romantic tones from throughout the theater and gave the table a little whimsy. We smiled at how the light was just perfect, and started snapping away. Wouldn’t it be a beautiful location for a wedding reception or perhaps even a ceremony? Enjoy!

  1. This is gorgeous! I love how the table matches the area so beautifully. Also I wish the menu was really an offering. That pomegranate sorbet sounds amazing!!
