This incredible Disney wedding happened during one of the rainiest weekends in November. It was a perfect day with many unforgettable Disney moments ~ rain and all. I loved photographing it, with the help of Bobby as my second shooter! 🙂
A beautiful first look:
The day began at the Disneyland Hotel. The couple had originally planned to exchange vows in the Rose Court Garden, complete with Cinderella’s Carriage. Because of the rain, the ceremony was moved indoors to the Sleeping Beauty Pavilion. It looked so beautiful on that day, with it’s soft florals, candles, lanterns, and glowing light.
When the rain paused just enough, we were thrilled to be able to capture a few portraits with the carriage.
After the ceremony, the celebration continued at Disney California Adventure Park, where the reception took place inside the Disney Theater (home to Disney Jr.). The guests were surprised with a flash mob moment and a show-stopping dance that set the tone for the night.
The reception design transitioned into a more vibrant feel, with purple and blue florals, starry details, and theatrical lighting creating a magical atmosphere.
The reception even ended with snow falling during their exit!
After dinner and dancing, guests were treated to World of Color. The rainy weather allowed for a rare and beautiful viewing experience from the covered patio at Lamplight Lounge.
After the show, we were able to take a few portraits near the Pixar Pier sign, where the wet pavement created stunning reflections that added so much depth and romance to the images.
Guests then made their way to the Spider-Man attraction before heading to Cars Land for an unforgettable after-party at Flo’s V8 Café.
As everyone gathered, the guests experienced their very own “Sh-Boom” moment as the lights came on throughout Cars Land.
This moment was followed by a surprise appearance from Lightning McQueen! The celebration continued as the guests danced the night away.
The rain might have felt like a setback, but ended up adding so much beauty to the day . With a color palette of purple, blue, and touches of pink, the wedding flowed effortlessly from romantic and classic to bold, immersive, and playful ~ a true Disney experience from beginning to end.
