The Search for A Newborn Photographer to take their Disney Themed Photos
Little A’s parents grew up going to Disneyland and had their wedding at Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa. When Baby A came into the picture, they wanted to make sure they incorporated their love of Disney into Little A’s newborn session. Finding a newborn photographer to capture the memories they shared at Disney turned out to be a little more challenging than they’d expected, but eventually, a friend referred them our way. When I talked to A’s Dad on the phone, we immediately jumped into Disney talk. A’s Dad told me he’d been collecting park maps, and I encouraged him to bring them in. Our schedule was really tight when A’s Dad called, but I knew we had to find a way to make it happen. Newborn sessions are time sensitive, and if we didn’t take them when we did, he would have aged out of the photos. When Little A arrived at the studio, we had a great time sorting through the park maps. So many memories and events were on the covers of those pages. And just think of all the moments ahead for Little A. I’m so glad we could make it work. I think we talked non-stop about Disney and Disney Weddings throughout their entire session. And it was so sweet, after we posted a photo on our Instagram, their Aulani coordinator messaged me to say how much she loved their wedding and that she was so happy to see their family growing and doing well.

Newborn Photoshoot Ideas for a Baby Boy:
I always hear parents feeling a little stumped when it comes to finding a Disney theme for their baby boy. Disney-themed newborn photoshoots for baby boys are as fun and magical as the classic characters they feature. There are so many options, from Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Sorcerer Mickey, and even Winnie the Pooh. They are all popular choices for a Disney-inspired photoshoot. Additionally, iconic films like The Lion King and Star Wars offer plenty of opportunities for newborn photoshoot inspiration. We also like to take neutral photos without any themes, so you have classic images in your gallery.

What kind of newborn session is right for me:
With newborn sessions, we aim for the first 5-12 days, but sometimes we can’t hit the 12-day window. When that happens – we often recommend a bowl session. Bowl sessions are perfect for older babies because they’re wrapped and warm, and we keep them in the same position but change the wraps and props for them. We had a lot of fun with Little A’s bowl session. We had talked about his parents favorite things, so we incorporated many little elements they loved about Disney. From the Jungle Cruise to park snacks. We even got a photo of Little A with his pup, and of course – we had to bring Pluto in. 🙂
Thanks again for having us, Little A ~, and welcome to the world! I’m so glad you visited our studio and know you have so many fun and beautiful memories ahead of you. Thanks for letting us capture the beginning of the fun! For more newborn photos, you can check our our instagram. Here is our main page, and here is a page dedicated to newborn photos. And of course, you can see more photos from each session here on our blog! Enjoy the photos!
