Cosette and Jordan; Married at the Disney Hotel
Cosette and Jordan were married at the Disney Hotel on a beautiful December day. Their ceremony and reception were in the Brisa Courtyard of the Grand Californian Resort in Anaheim! Their guests enjoyed an unforgettable event that even included the monorail making an appearance during their wedding vows. When it rained during the reception and their event was moved indoors, their guests were even more determined to dance the night away. The bride and groom are big Disney fans, so Disneyland was the perfect venue for them. Cosette wore a stunning gown by Eddy K that she had found at Sheryl Giles bridal. They were surrounded by family and friends while they said their vows below the monorail and it was a magical day!
How Cosette and Jordan Met
Cosette and Jordan met in college and it’s a funny story. They had both moved to the same city and started school just 3 weeks prior. Cosette was taking a walk with a mutual friend when he mentioned his dorm neighbor – this guy from Ireland named Jordan. Cosette mentioned she wished she could meet him, and as if it were fate, just then – they ran into Jordan who was hanging out with friends on a nearby bench! She invited Jordan to join them to In N Out for Dinner. There wasn’t GPS systems yet, so their quick dinner trip turned into an hour long drive. What started out as a dinner, ended with them chatting and playing games until 4am in the morning. Little did they know, their surprise meeting would be the beginning of a lifelong friendship.
Why they decided to have a Disney Wedding
Disney is truly special to both of their families. Though they come from different places, Disney was been a constant in both of their lives. Jordan particularly remembers visiting Disneyland and Disney California Adventure every year while visiting America from Ireland. One of Cosette’s earliest memories was going to Disneyland as a toddler. As adults, it was the place where they could feel youthful and forget their outside stresses. Jordan proposed at one of the alcoves on the castle bridge in DLR for their 10th anniversary. The first person Jordan told was the cast member at the Mad Hatter when they purchased the bridal ears, the Cast Member congratulated them and presented a Happily Ever After button. After they face-timed their families to share the news, they enjoyed dinner at Lamplight Lounge and stayed on the deck for an epic World of Color experience. It was a perfect day. It was a place where they both shared many special memories, so it only made sense for their wedding to be there.
Their Disney Wedding at the Grand Californian Hotel
Cosette wanted a Glamorous Endor Vibe for her wedding day. She had rich wedding colors with vibrant pink and purple hues that made a beautiful statement when her guests entered the Brisa courtyard of the Grand Californian Hotel. They were married under a gold Mickey awning arranged through Disney Weddings, which sat beneath the Monorail. For a personalized touch, Jordan wove sentimental touches from Ireland into the ceremony. The reception was originally in the Brisa Courtyard, but it started to rain and they were relocated inside of the Grand Californian. It made a beautiful reception background. We were able to take portraits of Cosette and Jordan before their decor was relocated, and I’m so glad we were able to capture this special moment.
Their Castle Session
Early the next morning, Cosette and Jordan had a private portrait session in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. The Castle Sessions can be added to your Disney Wedding Package, and they’re truly an unforgettable experience. We began the portrait session at the Haunted Mansion, before moving to the front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. It was a perfect morning.
