I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this sweet little family. It was wonderful getting to know them before the wedding, and I loved how they wanted to be sure their daughter felt special and was included in every location of their Pasadena and Los Angeles engagement shoot.
In addition to Autumn, other members of Christine’s family would also join us, and they added so much to those days. I felt privileged to get to know them before the wedding, and by the time their wedding day came around, it felt like we were all old friends! 🙂
They shared a few of their favorite places with me, and we were able to capture some really meaningful shots at The Colorado Bridge in Pasadena, Umami Burger in Los Angeles, and all around Downtown Pasadena. Christine is an artist and loves art deco, so we tried to capture as much architectural detail, with the lines and the deco influence playing a major role.
Sweet Autumn added so much to the shoot, and she got along very well with my son. And then she gave  Theo his first kiss!!! In a silly moment during our photo shoot, Autumn looked at Theo and said, “I’m going to kiss you” and gave him a big kiss. We all stood there in amused shock, Theo beamed, and then he blurted out, “Let’s do that again!” He then proceeded to give her another great big kiss. It happened fast, and we all kind of didn’t know what to do, but it was definitely a funny and sweet moment that will go down in Theo history.
Theo always the little heartbreaker! 😉 How sweet about his first kiss. My favorite Art Deco building is now where the Southwestern Law School is on Wilshire. I’m not sure if you’re allowed to photograph inside, but you should definitely inquire. It’s cool how more and more of your couples are heading to Pasadena for their shoots. It’s really a pretty city.
