I’m so excited to share this milestone session inspired by the Disney movie Encanto. Specializing in Disney-themed milestone sessions was an organic accident for us. We all are big Disney fans over here and have photographed so many Disney Weddings; it was a natural progression for us to photograph Disney babies. Encanto was one of those themes that I’ve been hoping someone would ask for, and I was beyond excited when I found out that not only would we be doing an Encanto theme, but the sweet little whose milestone session I was about to shoot had a special connection to the film. Learning that her family worked on the film made our session extra special.
For her session, we focused on the Family Madrigal House and Maribel’s Encanto Door. Bri created the Madigral House, and Andrew worked on the door and the balloon design. We also included a Disney plush that we found on ShopDisney. Andrew photographed the session, Bri assisted, and I edited the images. Seeing it come together from beginning to end was collaborative and fun.
The entire session was filled with joy and smiles – it was truly a special day! Mom and Dad hadn’t asked for a family photo, but we convinced them to jump in for a few.
We refer to these sessions as milestone sessions because instead of waiting for a certain age, we wait for specific milestones – i.e. sitting, walking, and crawling. We love documenting these special milestones in a baby’s life and are so grateful to capture them. We’re also always happy to meet people who share the same love for Disney as we do. But the biggest miracle of this session was the sweet little Sofia. Thanks for coming to our studio and giving all of us such a fun day! 🙂
