When Liana met Rob, the last thing on her mind was finding her soul mate, but sometimes that’s just the way things work, isn’t it?
Their relationship didn’t start right away, because Liana wasn’t interested in dating people she worked with (Rob and Liana worked for separate companies that occasionally worked together). Rob had to get creative to encourage things to move along. Throughout their interactions together, he eventually learned they were both huge Giants fans. He purchased tickets to a Giant’s game that was really hard to get tickets to, and asked Liana if she would like to go with him. Liana couldn’t turn down tickets for her favorite team, and agreed to go. Now she lovingly says that Rob managed to trick her into going on their first date. It was a good thing he did, because they had an awesome time together. They laughed so much on their first date, that their faces were sore by the end of the night from smiling and laughing so hard. They thought they might be onto something, and their relationship began from there.
One of the things Liana loves about Rob, is that he’s always 100% himself. He stays true to who he is in every situation that comes his way. He’s a good and kind hearted person, and goes out of his way to make Liana’s family feel comfortable. They’re both very down to earth and fun and easy to be around. They’re the kind of people you want to sit and spend an afternoon with, sitting outside and having a glass of wine or a beer, and chatting until the sun goes down.
Liana also loves that he makes her laugh, and blames him for any future laugh wrinkles she will have. Liana likes that he’s a pleasant reminder that she shouldn’t ever take life too seriously.
I asked Liana what Rob loves about her, and she said if she were to guess… she would say it’s because she make him laugh and that he thinks her many strange tendencies are “cute”. :p
When they first started dating, their relationship was long distance. Because of this, they don’t ever take their time together for granted. Their favorite thing to do is spend time in their home, just relaxing together and playing games. One on one catch phrase is a frequent occurrence in their house. Along with dominoes and other random games! When they do go out, their favorite thing to do is grab some appetizers and drinks before heading out to a Giant’s game.
Before Rob, marriage wasn’t something Liana ever really “hoped” for. She wasn’t against it, but just didn’t have it in her mind as something she necessarily wanted or needed. Now that Rob has come into the picture though, she is so unbelievably excited to call him, “husband” and loves that she gets to grow and share her journey with him.
Liana wrote, “I feel like Marriage is a partnership and I have never been so confident that he should be my partner for life. I couldn’t have asked for more.”
I totally love these two, and can’t wait for their beautiful wedding day.
