A few years ago, we photographed Henry’s newborn session in our old studio, and it was such an honor to have them back to photograph his baby sister, Zoey
A Mulan-Inspired Newborn Session
For Zoey’s newborn portraits, her parents asked for a Mulan-inspired theme. I hand-drew and designed the backdrop specifically for her session ~ the result was a session perfect for a newborn girl already showing so much strength.
Photographing with Care After a Procedure
Shortly before her session, Zoey had a minor medical procedure on her ears. With her doctor’s approval, we encouraged her family to come in, and let them know we’d work carefully around her ear covers.
To help keep Zoey comfortable and hide her ear covers, I created several custom soft headbands that matched her outfits. The session turned out beautifully, and Zoey slept through the whole thing.
A Brave Little Warrior
Sessions like this are a reminder that newborn photography is about meeting babies exactly where they are and honoring their journey with care and creativity.
Thank you for coming to our studio, Zoey! We loved having you there!
