Some mini sessions feel extra special, and this one was absolutely that. I first photographed this family during their wedding at Cal Poly Pomona, and over the years, it’s felt less like client sessions and more like catching up with friends. I loved getting to see them again for this mini session in Orange, CA .
Their sweet little girl needed a few minutes to warm up, which is always okay. We decided to photograph her Gelatoni doll. I showed her the photos and asked what she thought, and from there, Gelatoni became part of the experience. He was peeking out from behind the camera, making an appearance in the photos, and making everyone laugh.
Mini sessions may be short, but they’re full of connection. It was so good to see this family again, catch up, and watch their little one’s personality shine. I just wish we got to do it more often. <3
