Lauren and Andrew met working together at the Budweiser Brewery. Andrew worked in production while Lauren worked in the lab, and together their chemistry brewed to make the perfect pint.
They’ve been going strong for 11 years and it was sweet to see how they make each other laugh. Lauren talked about how when they went to the movies to see Deadpool, they giggled together through the entire movie. They can spend their date nights talking and enjoying each other’s company, and are also content to spend 8 hours on a plane trip together doing nothing but holding hands and quietly sitting next to each other. It’s so wonderful to find a person you feel comfortable with, whether you’re sharing your day or just being still.
Their first date was a casual get together at a local bar after work. About a month later they made things official when Andy asked Lauren out for dinner and a movie.
They love doing everything together except grocery shopping. They joke about how they always end up arguing when they’re shopping for food.
When talking about marriage and what they’re looking forward to the most, Lauren shared that the past 11 years has been such a wonderful adventure for us, there have been a few valleys. We’re just ready for the rest of the world to have to recognize what we know we already have. Their proposal story made me smile, because Lauren one day just picked a date and told Andy they were getting married. Then she started telling other people and he realized she was serious, so he surprised her by picking out a wedding ring for her.
What they are looking forward to with their wedding at Disneyland, is seeing their family and friends all over the resort area. Lauren insisted on having a Disney wedding because she knew she’d only need to make a few choices and her planner would cover the rest.
Their perfect day together would be sitting on the beach with their two dogs. Sitting on the couch with our two dogs. Pretty much with each other and their fur family.
