When Maggie and Dave asked about having their engagement photos taken at La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs with the end of our session in the desert, I couldn’t have been more excited. La Quinta Resort is a gorgeous location, and I’ve always been inspired by the simplicity and beauty of the desert. When I was an anthropology student at Cal Poly Pomona, my professor Mark Allen said in a lecture that people who didn’t love the desert, didn’t understand it. As I photographed Maggie and Dave, with the sun setting past the nearby canyon, his words couldn’t have been more true.
