I love photographing families over time. We first photographed this sweet family during their engagement session. After that, came their wedding. We have continued documenting their family sessions as their story has grown. Being invited back year after year is something I never take for granted.
They’re big foodies and always choose the most creative locations, so photographing their family at The LAB in Costa Mesa felt like such a natural fit. With its vibrant colors, textures, and playful backdrops, The LAB is a great spot for families who want something a little more modern and energetic than a traditional park setting.

Outdoor family sessions at fun locations like this are some of my favorites because they’re incredibly relaxed. We can let kids explore and just be themselves.
Tiffany even took a quick donut break during the session, it was so cute going through these photos with a little donut in his hands.
Family sessions like this are a great reminder that photos don’t have to feel stiff or formal to be meaningful. When kids are comfortable, parents can relax ~ and that’s when the fun really happens.
