On a beautiful day in November, Kai and Kristen said their vows in the Rose Court Garden of the Disneyland Hotel. After a heartfelt ceremony, they had a gorgeous reception in the Sleeping Beauty Pavilion. Throughout the day, their friends and family smiled and cheered and danced the night away. The next morning, we all woke up bright and early and took photos inside Disneyland at the Sleeping Beauty Castle. It was two beautiful days filled with love, and it was so nice getting to know Kristen and Kai throughout our boomerangs and photo sessions. Kai and Kristen are completely genuine and wonderful to be around. It was sweet to see how in love they are, and I’m so glad I was able to capture it.
Kai and Kristen met through their Matron of Honor, Tehani. They were working together at an afternoon program for kids, when they met each other at a Kids’ Day Fair. Tehani knew there was something special between them, and arranged for a group gathering on Halloween in Waikiki. Soon after, they started going to movies, taking trips to the beach, and discovered they were both major foodies. They love hanging out with their friends and family, and within the last couple years have become huge Disney Run fans, hoping to do a run every year. Most importantly, they love going to Disneyland together!
Kai proposed to Kristen on her birthday at a very nice dinner. Kristen was completely surprised, because they had never actually talked marriage-even though they’d been together for 10 years. Kristen was surprised and overjoyed when Kai asked, and of course-she said yes!
Kristen loves that Kai is the sweetest person she knows, and she is endlessly amazed at how generous he is with his love. Kai loves Kristen’s quirkiness and kindness. Together they are both loyal and forgiving, which they credit as one of the reasons they have been together so long. Now that they are married, they are looking forward to having new adventures together. They view it as starting a new chapter in their lives, and are excited to be sharing it together. They’re looking forward to growing and changing, and learning more about each other every day.
Thank you again for having me as your photographer, Kristen and Kai! I know you both are going to have beautiful lives together, and I hope we get to see each other again soon, someday! 🙂
