Jaclyn has been a Disney fan since day one, going to the park since she was young and then later working at Walt Disney World. It was lovely getting to meet them both and Jaclyn’s soon to be mother-in-law, as we enjoyed the park at night and used the park lights to our advantage for Jaclyn and Matt’s Disneyland evening photos. I’ve always loved Disneyland when the lights are low, but what’s kind of funny is that we didn’t intend for this to be an evening shoot. We actually had planned for a session during the day but after I arrived for the session, Jaclyn and Matt let me know that they’d had a bit of a family emergency and were going to be a few hours late. For evening sessions, Louise usually joins me and we have a little extra equipment, so it made for a fun challenge to have to think quickly and work with what I had. I really enjoy competition shows like Top Chef and Project Runway, and I’d like to think that if the challenge was to take photos in the dark with nothing but a single flash that I wouldn’t have been eliminated. :p We wound up rescheduling for a little bit on another day so they could have a few daytime photos along with the night ones we had already taken, so in the end it all worked out well!
