D23 was a lot of fun this year, I didn’t get to see any of the exhibits or even step into the Convention Center, but I did get to photograph some great events. I’m usually on one side of the camera, but the group I was with insisted on having me involved in a few photo opps, and I happily obliged. 🙂

There was a great green screen area, where we took some creative photos.

I am now an action hero in my son’s eyes, because he’s convinced this really happened. 😉

I also was able to take a few photos of the parade and fireworks. Wow, I hadn’t seen Paint the Night yet, it is incredible! I can’t wait for my son to be able to stay up a little later so we can go, but he turns into a pumpkin at 8:00PM.

And then we were able to watch the fireworks. I’d never seen them from Small World before, it was incredible!

On a different day of the convention, I was able to channel my evil side and take photos of our group with these yahoos. I don’t know why I look so short in this photo, I think I was leaning forward because I was ready to jump out of the photo and get bac behind the camera, where I belong. Or maybe my photo friends were a little intimidating. 😉

Overall, it was such a blast! So thankful I was able to be a part of it, in a small way. If you went, I hope you had a great time!

  1. I was wondering where you took those photos and why I didn’t see you inside the convention center. D23 was fun, but it looks like your weekend was equally amazing. I’m glad you finally saw Paint the Night. Your pictures look as vibrant as the show does in person. I also love that fireworks shot from Small World. It’s so stunning! You’re definitely an action hero. I’m sure you’ll be contacted for the next Indy. 😉
