Andris and Sarah were married on a cool and cloudy California day in November, with their wedding at the Woman’s Club of Orange County. When I saw an e-mail from Andris appear in my inbox, I couldn’t have been happier. Andris is one of those friends who I’ve seemed to cross paths with at least once every decade. We went to high school together, both worked at Disneyland, and now I can say that I’ve photographed his wedding! It was kind of like attending a high school/college reunion, and it was wonderful catching up with so many familiar faces. But most of all, it was heartwarming to see how happy Andris and Sarah are together.
Sarah and Andris met working at Disneyland. Sarah was in need of a roommate, and a mutual friend suggested Andris. They became fast friends, and it didn’t take long for their feelingsĀ to grow. Andris was meticulous with the wedding details, just as he has always been. Sarah was calm and relaxed, and took the time to enjoy every second of her wedding day. They were completely devoted to each other, and I loved to see how much joy they found in each others puns, jokes, and conversations. I got a little teary when Andris saw Sarah for the first time during their first look. They both had tears in their eyes and both of their hands were shaking. There were so many feels wrapped into one beautiful moment. In addition to the first look, there were so many special moments throughout the wedding. We took photos with the DeLorean, walked over to an ice cream parlor, and they even had a few wedding party members who had travelled from Shanghai Disney where Andris and Sarah worked for a while. They came all this way to see them tie the knot!
