Rob and Liana’s Broken Earth Winery Wedding

I love thinking back on Rob and Liana’s beautiful Broken Earth Winery Wedding. Paso Robles is gorgeous at this time of the year, and I adore winery weddings. In addition to loving the beautiful location, it was an honor to be asked to photograph Rob and Liana’s wedding. Rob is my step-brother, and I’d spent a good portion of my life getting to know Rob and his tight knit group of friends. It really was a treat to get to know Rob and Liana as a couple. I was able to see how well they went together, how much they cared for each other, and how perfectly in sync they were. It was fun to learn a few surprising things about them too, such as their mutual love for dominoes and board games. Liana is simply a beautiful person, inside and out, and so easy to be around. I don’t think more than thirty minutes would pass without her checking in to make sure we were all having a nice time. Their wedding was the perfect reflection of the love they have for their friends and family, and it was wonderful to take part. I realized I had posted a bit of their wedding a while ago in a post about photographing family, but I hadn’t done a full blog feature! I think an anniversary is as good of an excuse as any, and I hope you enjoy the photos. 🙂

Speaking of my other blog post, I had to laugh again as I remembered how my family turned out to be the most difficult families I’ve ever had to wrangle for family photographs, haha. I take pride in how quickly and easily I get through family photos, but they had me flustered for the first time in my photography career. Now, whenever I have to photograph a large group after a wedding, I think back to the craziness of that day and grin and laugh. It really was a funny moment.
