One of my favorite things this past year has been taking Disneyland wedding photos in New Orleans Square. Many moons ago when I worked as a Cast Member, after a late night shift our manager “Disney Dave” took us on a wonderful tour of the area, where we learned about the history and superstitions in New Orleans Square. Did you know that a lot of the relics in Disneyland’s New Orleans Square were brought from the real New Orleans by Walt and his wife, Lillian? It’s one of those surprisingly beautiful places in the park where the attention to detail is incredible. This last year, a few of my sweet couples added New Orleans Square to their Castle Session, and one of my couples had their reception at the French Market. It was such a treat to be able to take photos here, and I hope you enjoy! P.S. I should add a disclaimer, that all of these sessions were arranged through Disney Weddings, I was just the lucky photographer who got to go along for the ride. š
The sun was on my side during Jen and Justin’s portrait session in New Orleans Square.
I can’t get over Jenn’s gorgeous floral crown from The Crown Collective.
This door is so stunning, and especially with Jenn’s blush colored Vera Wang dress.
These two, so sweet. <3
And then there was Jenny and Anthony’s portrait session.
It was so cold on this morning, but Jenny was such a trooper!
We had a wonderful time!
And then there was Jenna and Jacob’s lovely reception at the French Market.
Who would have thought when I toured New Orleans Square so long ago, that I’d be photographing such beautiful events there one day? What an incredible year it has been! <3
[…] Happy Fat Tuesday, my friends! I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than with a roundup of Disney Wedding photos in New Orleans Square. I love New Orleans Square, and truly believeĀ it’s one of the most romantic places in the park. There’s so much attention to detail! From the beads hanging from the balconies, to the sounds coming from the windows, it really is a magical place! I love that it has a few secrets too, with it’s hidden entrance to Club 33 and the entrance to the Dream Suite. It adds just another touch to the mystery and charm of this hiddenĀ corner in the park. It’s such a treat when couples add New Orleans to their castle session, I always know it’s going to be a stunning morning, with the sun rising just above the Rivers of America- adding a warm glow to those beautiful trees in New Orleans. I mean, how can you go wrong? Enjoy! And when you’re done, check out last year’s Fat Tuesday post! […]
