Then, when I grew up, I went to college and started to work at the park. I feel all mushy inside when I think of all the friends I made. So many happy memories together.

After college, all of the women in my family began to take one big “Princess Trip” to Disneyland every year. It was the one place where we were finally accepted as royalty. So many fun memories, especially of us, pretending to be in a parade and waving while riding the Mainstreet Vehicles. A princess tradition.

While my husband and I were dating, engaged, and then planning our wedding, we ran around the park together like maniacs~priding ourselves on how many attractions we could go on in a day. We eventually started looking at baby strollers, because if we ever had children~we needed the stroller that would work best at Disneyland.

When our son was born, it wasn’t long before his favorite place became Disneyland. It is the one place where he can be a cowboy, a pirate, a princess protector, or anything that he wants to be. We’ve had so many amazing memories that we’re so incredibly grateful for, and every day on the way to daycare, he asks if we can go to Disneyland instead. I get you, kid. I really do.

Then, in a beautiful twist,~I started working at Disneyland again in the best of ways. Every day, I’m so grateful that I can photograph people in the place that has given us so many happy memories. It’s my way of saying thank you for the good times I’ve had. It brings me so much joy to be able to return the favor and capture the love that clients share for the park.

  1. Awwwww this post gave me happy tears! It’s so nice to connect with people who feel the same way about Disneyland that I do. And thanks for linking to my post! 🙂

  2. Your love for Disneyland definitely shows in the images that you shoot and I’m happy to know you share my love for the parks too. It’s hard to explain to other people why you go so often or what you do, but when you find people that just “get it” without an explanation, you hold on to them! <3 Hope you had a great birthday Disneyland. 😉

  3. Such a sweet post! I’m there with Mindy, totally cried happy tears! Disney has such a magical way about bringing people together!

  4. I love your blog and absolutely HAD to comment on the photo of you as a CM in Fantasyland – posing with Captain Robert! When I worked in attractions, he was one of my favorite guests. I still see him around the parks now & then, counting the number of trips he can complete in a day. 🙂

    1. Oh my gosh, that is SO great that he’s still around the park! He used to help us close storybook every night, he was one of my favorite guests too! I’m so glad you gave me an update, THANK YOU! 😀
