Seven years ago, I photographed Keal and Emmy’s Disneyland Engagement Session . A year later, I photographed their bright and fun filled Disney Wedding. When Emmy reached out about taking Disney themed family photos of her 3 month old son, I couldn’t wait to catch up and see where life had brought them. Emmy had a clear vision for her photos. She’s a big fan of Walt Disney and all the nostalgia that comes with it. She wanted to incorporate a nod to Walt and some theme park classics into her photos.
We immediately thought of Buena Vista Street and A Suitcase And a Dream. Emmy loved a Suitcase and a Dream because it reminded her of moving out to Los Angeles with nothing but a few bags and a dream of working as a graphic designer (you can find some of her gorgeous work here. Once we had our theme down, we had a great time pulling together the props. I actually love to draw, and was excited to be able to draw the Mickey you see in the drawing board on the photos.
When we put the glasses on W and I handed him a toy Mickey, we nearly died from the cuteness of it all. Old world Hollywood, classic Disney snacks, and the most adorable kid in town = a combination we didn’t know we needed.
We also took a few classic Disney themed photos.
And Keal loves Pixar, so we had to take a few.
We ended the session with some sweet family photos. Thanks for coming to my studio for your Disney themed family photos, Emmy and family. It was wonderful to see all of you again, and to see your family grow.
Love this sweet photo of Emma and Baby W!
