Holiday castle sessions at Disneyland Park are a magical way to celebrate love, especially with the Christmas lights glowing on Sleeping Beauty Castle.
This early-morning session took place at 5:30 AM, just as the sun began to rise and the Christmas lights on Sleeping Beauty Castle were still glowing. There’s something magical about photographing couples during this quiet moment before the park opens. It’s rare to see Disneyland so still. Photographing with the soft light is a feeling I just can’t describe.

A Disney Love Story That Began at Disneyland
Carlos and Victoria were married aboard the Disney Cruise Line, but their love story actually began at Disneyland. They met while working in the park. During their session we were able to capture a sweet photo at the exact location where they first crossed paths. Carlos was working in Guest Relations when Victoria approached him to ask for an “I’m Celebrating” button. Victoria was celebrating her very first day of work. That simple moment turned into the beginning of everything.
Victoria looked absolutely elegant throughout the session. Her stunning veil added so much movement and romance. We had the best time incorporating it into the photos in front of the castle.
They also brought along playful glasses from Tokyo Disney, which added a fun, personal touch and reflected their shared love of Disney parks around the world.
The combination of holiday décor, early morning light, and a love story connected to Disneyland made this session unforgettable. I photographed the session with Bobby assisting on lighting, ensuring every moment was beautiful.
This castle session was a beautiful reminder that Disney isn’t just a place ~ it’s a place where so many love stories begin.
